Neck Pain
Persistent neck pain and stiffness are often linked to poor posture, prolonged sitting or an old injury. Our physiotherapists assess what's driving your neck pain and treat the underlying cause — restoring movement to the neck joints, in the comfort of your own home.
Neck pain is very common, with around one in ten people experiencing it at any given time. That's no surprise given how much of modern life involves sitting in front of a computer, long stretches in front of a screen, and an increasing amount of poor posture — particularly a forward head position.
Problems in the neck don't always stay in the neck. They can also contribute to headaches, shoulder pain, jaw (TMJ) pain, pins and needles in the hands, carpal tunnel symptoms and upper back pain.
Signs it's worth getting checked
We encourage you to book a thorough assessment with one of our physiotherapists if you regularly experience any of the following.
What causes neck pain?
By far the most common cause of neck pain is poor posture — how the neck is aligned has a big impact on the load carried by its joints, discs and muscles over time. Other common causes include whiplash injuries following motor vehicle accidents, arthritis and sporting injuries.
Assessment
Your physiotherapist takes a complete history and carries out an orthopaedic and neurological examination to identify what's driving your neck pain, before recommending a course of treatment that aims to reduce pressure, restore movement and prevent recurrence.
Treatment approach
- Postural advice and how to avoid further strain
- Spinal mobilisation and manipulation to restore movement to the neck vertebrae
- Dry needling to tight neck muscles
- Neck exercises to encourage improved movement
- Massage to tight neck muscles
- A contoured pillow recommendation for correct support while sleeping

Private patients and NDIS participants don't need one. DVA, Medicare or work-injury clients need a GP referral to be covered — we bulk bill DVA, WorkCover and CTP clients.
Which suburbs do you visit?
We cover a large part of North Brisbane and Moreton Bay. Call 1300 895 169 and we'll tell you straight away if we can reach you.
How do I make an appointment?
Use the contact form on our website and a team member will call within 24 hours, or call us directly to book a session.
What are the payment methods?
Cash and card are accepted on the day. NDIS, WorkCover and DVA clients are invoiced directly through their plan manager or case officer.
What equipment do you have?
Our team carries all the equipment needed to deliver a comprehensive service in the comfort of your own home.
What should I wear?
Light, comfortable clothing you can move freely in.
What happens during a consultation?
A comprehensive assessment and treatment during the session, which may include massage, joint mobilisation and exercise prescription, followed by a detailed home exercise program.
When do I pay?
Either before or after your consultation, whichever is easier for you.
Can I use my private health fund card and just pay the gap?
No — private health rebates need to be claimed online after your invoice is paid. We don't have a health-fund terminal for on-the-spot gap payments.
