Women's Physiotherapy

Experienced, highly trained physiotherapists specialising in musculoskeletal issues associated with pregnancy, birth, post-partum and breastfeeding, plus pelvic floor issues and pelvic pain.

You can expect a complete and thorough assessment, diagnosis and explanation. A management and treatment plan is then devised to treat your specific concern, with therapists specifically trained to help you regain strength and function.

Pregnancy

  • Preparation for pregnancy and labour
  • Treating pains during pregnancy: back pain, pelvic pain, carpal tunnel syndrome
  • TENS education and machine hire for pain relief during labour
  • Abdominal taping and support
  • Prenatal exercise classes and massage
  • Individual abdominal and pelvic floor retraining programs

Post-natal abdominal separation

Diastasis of rectus abdominis (DRA) is a tearing or pulling of the abdominal wall's vertical muscles under strain, which can cause hernia, back pain, pelvic pain or incontinence if untreated. We advise a check at 6 weeks post-partum — we assess the degree of separation and guide you through a progressive strengthening program.

Pelvic incontinence

Leakage is not normal, and it can be treated — 1 in 3 women experience some post-natal leakage, often fixed with simple exercises and pelvic floor retraining, assisted with pressure biofeedback.

Post-natal check includes

  • Pelvic floor assessment
  • Stomach separation (DRA) assessment
  • Postural assessment during holding, lifting and breastfeeding
  • Guidance to safely return to exercise

Evenings and weekends, no problem

Appointments fit your schedule, including late evenings or weekends, with evidence-based care from post-graduate qualified physiotherapists.

Questions people ask us

Do I need a referral?

Private patients and NDIS participants don't need one. DVA, Medicare or work-injury clients need a GP referral to be covered — we bulk bill DVA, WorkCover and CTP clients.

Which suburbs do you visit?

We cover a large part of North Brisbane and Moreton Bay. Call 1300 895 169 and we'll tell you straight away if we can reach you.

How do I make an appointment?

Use the contact form on our website and a team member will call within 24 hours, or call us directly to book a session.

What equipment do you have?

Our team carries all the equipment needed to deliver a comprehensive service in the comfort of your own home.

What should I wear?

Light, comfortable clothing you can move freely in.

What happens during a consultation?

A comprehensive assessment and treatment during the session, which may include massage, joint mobilisation and exercise prescription, followed by a detailed home exercise program.

What are the payment methods?

Cash and card are accepted on the day. NDIS, WorkCover and DVA clients are invoiced directly through their plan manager or case officer.

When do I pay?

Either before or after your consultation, whichever is easier for you.

Can I use my private health fund card and just pay the gap?

No — private health rebates need to be claimed online after your invoice is paid. We don't have a health-fund terminal for on-the-spot gap payments.

Ready to get started?

A real person will call within 24 hours of your request.
