Hip and Knee Pain

The hip and knee are among the body's most complex joints, so pain here can come from many different sources — from ligament and cartilage injuries to arthritis and post-surgical recovery. Our physiotherapists assess, diagnose and treat hip and knee pain in the comfort of your own home.

The knee is the largest joint in the body, made up of the femur (thigh bone), the tibia (shin bone), the patella (kneecap), and a network of supporting ligaments and cartilage. As one of the most complex joints in the body, there are many potential causes of knee pain. Our physiotherapists treat a wide range of knee conditions, including:

ACL & PCL injuries MCL & LCL injuries Meniscal tears Tendinopathy Bursitis Patellofemoral pain Iliotibial band pain Osteoarthritis Rheumatoid arthritis Gout & pseudogout

Hip Pain

Hip pain is a very common musculoskeletal complaint, particularly among people involved in kicking sports such as football and rugby, those who spend long periods standing, and people living with osteoarthritis. Our physiotherapists are experienced in treating common hip pain conditions and work alongside North Brisbane's leading hip and knee specialists to provide rehabilitation following surgery, including hip replacements and hip fracture fixations.

Assessment & diagnosis

We start with a thorough assessment of your hip or knee to reach an accurate diagnosis of your condition.

Pain management

Treatment focuses on reducing irritation to the affected muscles, tendons and joints, so pain begins to settle.

Rebuilding strength

Once pain is under control, we build a tailored strengthening program to restore strength in the area.

Our physiotherapists assess and treat hip and knee pain every day, and know each step of the rehabilitation journey — from that first assessment through to getting you back to the activities you enjoy.

Questions people ask us

Do I need a referral?

Private patients and NDIS participants don't need one. DVA, Medicare or work-injury clients need a GP referral to be covered — we bulk bill DVA, WorkCover and CTP clients.

Which suburbs do you visit?

We cover a large part of North Brisbane and Moreton Bay. Call 1300 895 169 and we'll tell you straight away if we can reach you.

How do I make an appointment?

Use the contact form on our website and a team member will call within 24 hours, or call us directly to book a session.

What are the payment methods?

Cash and card are accepted on the day. NDIS, WorkCover and DVA clients are invoiced directly through their plan manager or case officer.

What equipment do you have?

Our team carries all the equipment needed to deliver a comprehensive service in the comfort of your own home.

What should I wear?

Light, comfortable clothing you can move freely in.

What happens during a consultation?

A comprehensive assessment and treatment during the session, which may include massage, joint mobilisation and exercise prescription, followed by a detailed home exercise program.

When do I pay?

Either before or after your consultation, whichever is easier for you.

Can I use my private health fund card and just pay the gap?

No — private health rebates need to be claimed online after your invoice is paid. We don't have a health-fund terminal for on-the-spot gap payments.
